Southern California girls are blessed with beautiful summer days year round. Whether is going to the beach or just enjoying a gorgeous day hanging out with friends, L.A girls are all about outfits that are casual yet stylish.
So how do you achieve that laid-back look without sacrificing style? Well, the key is mixing and matching comfortable basics with cool accessories that you can wear everywhere. Also, adding a pop of color to your attire can definitely make it more unique.
Being tough isn’t about being mean, it’s about being able to ignore those who try to bring you down, it’s also being able to solve any problems life throws your way.
Toughness equals Self-Confidence.
Show the world your ” fashionable tough side” by taking a brake from girly floral prints and pink shades. Let’s go back to classic colors like black and white. They never go out of style and most importantly, they are very easy to match.
You don’t necessarily have to spend a lot of money to look chic, there are plenty of brands that will give you the “expensive look” for a lot less. You can also mix designer brand names with less expensive brands. The main thing is to be yourself and to have fun putting together an outfit that fits your personality.
Designer on a Budget:
For a few years now, I have noticed that the Bondage, Discipline, Submission and Masochism (BDSM) scene has gained mainstream notoriety. BDSM inspired fashion has graced the cover of Vogue magazine and has inspired countless editorials and magazine covers. 50 shades of grey became a huge a hit with women all over the world, transforming the once secret scene into a lucrative book trilogy.
Recently, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Kendal Jenner, to name a few, have been spotted wearing “Dominatrix Chic Couture” on the red carpet, which inspires more designers to add a touch of BDSM to their collections. Let’s not forget Taylor Swift’s video, Bad Blood. In it, there is a constant parade of celebrities wearing sexy “Bondage” inspired outfits.
So how did 50 shades of grey, fashion and Hollywood inspire me to design the devilish dominatrix character? I find Dominatrix outfits, black leather bustiers and high heel boots very sexy. However, what really fascinates me is the fact that they are always in control, and that’s exactly what I want to convey with my cute,”Blubble Gum” cartoon version.
My Sassy line of tops is for girls who like to be in control of their lives, have their own job, are smart and don’t need to depend on others to get what they want. Kind of like a female version of Christian Grey.
